Bronze Flange Materials — UNS C93200, C95400, C95500, C95800, C63000, C83600, C84400
Technical pages for each bronze, gunmetal and aluminium bronze grade we manufacture flanges in: composition limits, mechanical property minimums, corrosion behaviour and applications.
Choose a material grade

Leaded tin bronze (Cu-Sn-Pb-Zn)
UNS C93200 is a leaded tin bronze widely used where free machining, good pressure tightness in castings and bearing behaviour matter more than very high strength.

Aluminium bronze (Cu-Al-Fe)
UNS C95400 is a heat-treatable aluminium bronze that combines high strength with good wear and corrosion performance, making it a common choice for demanding pump, valve and marine components.
Technical data →
Nickel-bearing aluminium bronze (Cu-Al-Ni-Fe-Mn)
UNS C95500 is a high-strength nickel-bearing aluminium bronze for heavily loaded components in marine and industrial service.
Technical data →
Nickel aluminium bronze, NAB (Cu-Al-Ni-Fe-Mn)
UNS C95800 is the standard cast nickel aluminium bronze for seawater service. C95800 flanges are used where long-term resistance to seawater, erosion-corrosion and cavitation is a design requirement.
Technical data →
Wrought nickel aluminium bronze (Cu-Al-Ni-Fe-Mn-Si)
UNS C63000 is a wrought (not cast) aluminium bronze. Flanges in this grade are machined from rod, bar or forged stock rather than produced as sand castings.
Technical data →
Leaded red brass / composition bronze (Cu-Sn-Pb-Zn)
UNS C83600 — commonly called gunmetal, composition bronze or red bronze — is the traditional general-purpose cast alloy for valves, pump parts and pipe fittings, and the material behind our gunmetal flanges.
Technical data →
Leaded semi-red brass (Cu-Zn-Pb-Sn)
UNS C84400 is a leaded semi-red brass, often called valve composition, used extensively for valves, plumbing and general fittings where free machining and economy matter.

Casting grades are covered by ASTM B62, B584 and B148; wrought C63000 follows product specifications such as ASTM B150/B150M. Values vary according to applicable specification, material condition and customer requirements.

Selecting a flange alloy depends on the medium, temperature, pressure, flow velocity and regulations. The data on this site is for reference; the system designer remains responsible for material selection.
