UNS C95800 Nickel Aluminium Bronze Flanges Manufacturer & Exporter
UNS C95800 is the standard cast nickel aluminium bronze for seawater service. C95800 flanges are used where long-term resistance to seawater, erosion-corrosion and cavitation is a design requirement.

UNS C95800 — Nickel aluminium bronze, NAB (Cu-Al-Ni-Fe-Mn)
C95800 is a nickel aluminium bronze (NAB) with about 9% aluminium, 4–5% nickel, 3.5–4.5% iron and 0.8–1.5% manganese. The alloying balance is set to give a protective surface film in flowing seawater together with good strength and toughness. It has become the reference casting alloy for propellers, pump casings, valve bodies and seawater piping components.
A C95800 flange is therefore typically selected for seawater cooling and ballast lines, fire-main systems, desalination plant, offshore skids and similar duties, and to mate with C95800 valve and pump castings. As a C95800 bronze flanges manufacturer in India, we machine UNS C95800 flanges to customer drawings, and to the dimensional standard you specify.

Physical values are typical reference values for the alloy family, not guaranteed values. Values vary according to applicable specification, material condition and customer requirements.
Manufacturing forms for C95800 flanges
- Sand castings machined to flange dimensions
- Centrifugally or continuously cast stock machined to flange profile, where available
- Heavy and special flanges to drawing
Machining characteristics
C95800 machines like other nickel aluminium bronzes: rigid fixturing, sharp carbide tooling, positive cutting geometry and flood coolant give the best results. Facing and bore operations are planned with adequate stock to clean up the casting skin.
Corrosion characteristics
The alloy’s principal strength is its resistance to corrosion and erosion-corrosion in flowing seawater, and it also resists cavitation. These qualities underlie its extensive use in marine pumps, valves and seawater piping.
C95800 properties depend on correct chemistry control and on suitable heat treatment of castings where the specification or project requires it, because selective phase attack can occur in an improperly treated structure. Heat-treatment requirements, if any, should be stated at enquiry.
Why specify C95800 for flanges
- Established seawater-service alloy with good erosion-corrosion and cavitation resistance
- Good combination of strength and ductility
- Compatible with C95800 pump and valve castings, reducing galvanic mismatch
- Used across marine, offshore and desalination applications
Marine and seawater flanges
Marine flanges in C95800 are most often blind flanges for isolating or testing sections of seawater pipework, slip-on or socket-type flanges for pipe connections, and custom flanges adapted to valve and pump bodies. See our blind flanges, slip-on flanges and custom flanges pages for construction details, or the marine applications section for typical duty notes.
Specifications and project requirements
Many marine and naval projects add requirements beyond the base ASTM chemistry — for example heat-treatment, non-destructive examination, impact testing or third-party certification. We review each requirement against what we can supply before confirming, and we do not claim classification-society or navy approvals on this website.
C95800 flanges we manufacture
- Blind FlangesBlind flanges are solid discs used to close the end of a pipe, valve or pressure vessel nozzle.
- Slip-On FlangesSlip-on flanges are machined from bronze and copper-alloy grades so that the pipe slides into the bore and is secured by fillet welding or brazing, depending on material and procedure..
- Socket-Weld FlangesSocket-weld flanges have a recess into which the pipe is inserted.
- Lap Joint FlangesA lap joint flange is a loose flange used together with a stub end.
- Custom / Special FlangesSend your drawing, sample or specification.
- All flange typesSlip-on, threaded, blind, socket-weld, lap joint, plate, reducing, loose and custom.
Inspection and testing
Dimensional and visual inspection are applied to all orders, with material identification and chemistry or mechanical testing as specified in the order. Certificates such as an MTC are issued as agreed at order stage. See Quality.
